ALS 5k fun

Melissa and I rocked today. We kicked butt in our 5k with a finishing time of 26:08 for me and 31:10 for Melissa. Both times kind of surprised us, but we certainly earned it. I think the last half mile of the race was uphill.

Adam and Ian also ran a race today; they ran the 1k fun run. I ran with them the whole time and we did pretty good, I think, considering I carried Ian for about 100 yards. It's ok, cause he saw the finish line and got down to make a good finish photo for James. Not before Adam, though. I think we were cramping his style, going as slow as we were, so as soon as we were in a part where he knew where to go to get to the finish line he ditched us. I was really proud of him.

James and Skizzy were chillen at the park the whole time. And "chillen" is the right term because when I finished and got to hold Skiz again his hands and cheeks were freezing cold and red. Cute little trooper.

Sorry about all the videos. I needed to give all of us the spotlight we all deserved. So (if I did it right) there is a finishline video of all four of us.

Spring???????

Today is March 26th. Why the heck is their snow on the ground? This is not the picture of Spring!!!!!

Natalie's Birthday

I asked my neighbor to help me embarrass Natalie on her birthday. I bought flowers and went to her school and Sean and a friend went to her classroom and had them all sing Happy Birthday to her. She said she wasn't embarrassed, but I don't believe her.

She wanted a sherbet cake. So this is my version. Vanilla cake with Schwan's Passion Punch Sherbet in the middle with cream cheese frosting. The sherbet was melting when I was trying to frost it so that is why it looks marbled.

Here's our sweet 13 year old Natalie! Oh how the time has flown... You would never know that she was born 5 weeks early and had to be hooked up to a bunch of tubes and wires. How happy we are to have you in our family Natalie. Love you forever and alway, gr & gr Gibson
