Spatticaus Became a Bear

On our website, you can see Matt becoming a Bear. ;>
We are SO happy pack meeting is just once a month. Honestly, it is the most miserable experience! NONE of the children there (scout and siblings) are NEVER respectful or reverent. They run around and talk and play....etc while the speakers are talking. The parents are equally bad not caring. This 4 yr old was caring an infant around, no one would sit for the boys while they were getting their new badges, and this crappy little boy sitting ON his father's lap was kicking James in the head. The ONLY reason it stopped was because Rob gave him the "I gonna KILL YOU" glare. LOL

Friday Field Trip

Hey All!
The kids and I have posted on our website about our field trip to the National Western Stock Show. SO, I won't get into it here. Here is just a couple of extra funny pics that I wanted to share.

Below is a burger place that literally had Rob and I drooling. BUT we had packed a lunch and stuck to it!! WooHoo for our self-control! ;> ANYHOW, I thought this pic was funny cus look at the cows being taken to the back! LOL

This hat had hair.... Yup I love him! (I'm so glad he's bald!)

Later that night when I asked for everyone to get ready for bed....a wrestling match broke out. Jamie Lynn, Matt, and James against Daddy.

MY TALENTS:

I am very good at testing my center of balance and where gravity will effect it in the end. Like when it was raining all day today and I was walking in to walmart with Isaac in tow and Ian in back of me, my left foot skidded on the rain water about 4 feet in front of me and my right foot stayed put, so it looked like I was a master gymnast finishing with the splits. (James said that I should have put my hands in the air and said, "tada!") It hurt really bad and Isaac almost dropped to the ground, but I hurried and scooped him up before he did, the whole time he was like, "whoooaa mom! stuck!" He says "stuck" for anytime he is in a position he doesn't want to be in, even if it's for a split second, or if he's supposed to be there, like in his bed at nap time or in his high chair. It was pretty funny, and I wished I had someone there to laugh with, cause Ian didn't think it was too funny. I'm pretty sure he just kept walking, pretending he didn't see.

Here is another test I did at the cabin last weekend. I wanted to test out my hypothesis of what would happen if I hit a jump on a sled going way too fast and only actually hitting part of the jump. Besides sending each vertebrae in a different direction, this is what will happen:

Going along, happily unaware Hit the jump at a weird angle,
(Zoom in on the picture and check out my hideous face. It made me laugh for a good 10 minutes)
Bam! Hello, Dr. Kesterson?, I'm gonna need appointments for the next 6 months please. Yes, I'll hold...

It does make some good stories. I should know, I've heard some of Reina's.

You all have talents

I know sometimes it's hard to see but you all have talents. Everyone has different ones and can't be compared. Our Father in Heaven gave you talents and gifts to use in this life to help you become more like Him and also to help Him to help other's of his children. So stop and make a list of what you know you do well at and then a list that you want to be able to do. Make sure the first list is used wisely and the second list start with one at a time. Robert D. Hales told a story about a friend that was asked, "Do you play the piano?" he answered, "I don't know. I haven't tried it yet". We all have many talents that could be undeveloped so let's make this a year of development!

I love you all so much! I wish we could all be together once a month at least and bond, bond, bond! Ü I guess we'll have to settle for now and then and in between bond over the phone, blogs, facebook, texts, and email.

Just know that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my awesome family!

Talents

Today was my lesson in Relief Society on "Our Heavenly Family". I used the wordle above to have each sister take a minute to write down their talents and then while we talked about the lesson to write down more that they thought of and also to write down what they might want to develop further. Of course I took the opportunity to display our family picture. I have to show off my kids one way or another! haha

My husband is so freakin awesome and funny that sometimes I laugh so hard I can't breathe and you can't hear me at all for a good 2 minutes. However, he snores like a walrus.....do walrus's snore? whatever, he's loud. So that means I am still awake right now and have resorted to watching yet another episode of the Office (a show that is also the culprit of me laughing breathless) in order to get so tired that I can't stay awake for nothing, even if I am sleeping next to a walrus. Does anyone else have this problem? Now, remember, I am not comparing James to a walrus in SIZE, just in noise volume. That would just be rude to say he looked like a walrus. And if he read this and misinterpreted, he wouldn't be too thrilled.

On another note, I haven't posted about Skizzy in a while, so here is a shout out to him: Skizzy (Isaac, as we sometimes call him)Is the cutest little bugger. He is almost two. Also, he LOVES Eli. He talks about going to his house all the time. He calls him "E-llah" and he calls Brianna "b-nana" and he calls melissa "missess". However, he and Eli fight like beta fish when they are together, but not the whole time...so I don't rip out my hair the whole time. So it's good.
See? This is what staying up late does. It makes me ramble with weird facts and observations. Melissa was right. Boredom is treacherous. Breathe right strips? Throat sprays? Help me out here.

This is what boredom leads to

Hey everyone. So Adam had a work Christmas LAN party tonight, leaving me alone from 3 to 12, and I got very bored about an hour after the kids went to bed, and this is what it led to. I now have a blog. Lame I know. I never wanted one in the past because I really don't have anything great to say. Nonetheless, here is the link in case you want to see it. I would advise against it.

Don't make too much fun of it.

Things I am Thankful for....

Happy New Year! I'm so glad to be here safe and sound! I'm so happy it was not my time to die or to be hurt! I'm very grateful it wasn't time for grandma and grandpa to die or be hurt! I'm thankful for tender mercies and guardian angels. I'm grateful for the power of prayer. I'm thankful for a husband with great faith and that he was standing at the top of the hill. I'm thankful that we have a purpose in life and that we know what we need to do to be happy. I'm thankful for my family - especially for my children and their families. I'm thankful for friends. I'm thankful that I can try, try and try again whether it's the beginning, middle or end of the year. Ü I'm grateful for repentance and forgiveness.

I'm sure many of you are wondering what all the fuss is! Ü But these are my inner feelings and I just wanted to share a few of them before they fade. You know how it is. You feel all full of gratitude for something or someone and you have such an urge to shout it to the world! But as time moves on that feeling fades. Not that you feel it any less, just the urge to shout it fades and it's never expressed.
